Eight Gators scored 13 goals during the course of the 2024 season.
Already through 11 matches of 2025, 11 Gators scored 20 goals. That is the most goal scorers through 11 matches since 12 different Gators scored 23 in 2020.
Eleven different scorers is tied for fourth among the league's teams. Vanderbilt's 14 different scorers leads, followed by Arkansas (13) and Alabama (12). Kentucky and Mississippi State also have 11 different players score goals in 2025.
Of the 11 2025 Gator goal scorers, nine hit their first collegiate goals.

Florida soccer showed grit and determination on Sept. 26, storming back with two unanswered goals to secure a 2-2 draw on the road against No. 17 Georgia. Georgia scored first when Summer Denigan successfully converted a penalty kick in the 24th minute. Mya Townes put the Bulldogs up 2-0 in the 52nd minute when her shot off a deflection caught the crossbar to drop in.
Florida drew a penalty kick in the 56th minute when freshman Kai Tsakiris was fouled just inside the top of the box. She successfully converted the penalty kick for her team-leading third goal of the season. The tying goal resulted when freshman Sophia Sindelar picked up a deflection on the far side of the box. She moved toward the end line before cutting in and stepping around a Bulldog defender. Sindelar's pass found Avery Upton in the middle box, who one-touched in the tying goal at 87:35. It was Upton's first collegiate goal.
Tsakiris shared the SEC Freshman of the Week honor. She's not the only member of the Tsakiris family making soccer news on Sept. 29 as her older brother, Niko, headed in the third goal in the U.S.'s 9-1 win in the FIFA U-20 World Cup opener in Chile.
Florida faces two others this weekend who earned Sept. 29 SEC weekly honors – Gabi Poretto of Kentucky (co-SEC Freshman of the Week) and Amalia Villarreall of Texas (SEC Offensive Player of the Week).

Kentucky was 12-5-4 in 2024 and tied for seventh in the Southeastern Conference with a 3-3-4 record. The Wildcats 2024 NCAA run ended with a second-round 3-1 loss to Notre Dame. Kentucky is picked to finish 10th in the 2025 preseason vote by the league coaches.
