Gators Sweep 200 Free on Day Two at Auburn Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – Kelsey Dambacher, Adrianna DeBoer, and Celi Guzman collected event victories on the second day of the Auburn Invitational to pace the Gators. The University of Florida women's swimming team was in action Saturday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center.
Jessica Rodriguez finished in third place with a career-best 4:23.93 in the 400 IM final. Ellie Hatton took fourth with a swim of 4:26.21.
Guzman posted a personal-best time of 54.69 for the fourth-best time in the 100 Fly prelims. In the finals, she finished in second place with a mark of 54.95. Yekaterina Aslanidi posted a season-best swim with an effort of 59.07 and placed 11th.
Dambacher won the 200 Free final with a season-best time of 1:46.56. Jillian Hatch placed second with a career-best mark of 1:46.83. Nikki Miller finished third with a personal-best swim of 1:48.59 and completed the sweep for the Gators. Gabby Hillis came in seventh, Bettina Boszormenyi finished in 12th, and Kalie Novosedliak added a career-best swim of 1:51.83 and finished in 13th. Kirschtine Balbuena recorded a career-best 1:48.25 in the prelims.
DeBoer posted a career-best effort of 1:01.08 and the fifth-best time in program history to win the 100 Breast final. Ellie Zweifel added a fifth-place finish and Jessica Rodriguez came in 11th.
Guzman earned another personal-best time with a swim of 54.24 and a first-place finish in the 100 Back final. Kirschtine Balbuena finished in fourth in the finals, after she notched a personal-best mark of 54.86. Boszormenyi came in 10th, Madison Conway placed 14th, and Aslanidi finished in 15th.
The Auburn Invitational continues Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET with the 200 Back prelims.
