Florida Ends Auburn Invitational in Dominating Fashion

AUBURN, Ala. –The University of Florida women's swimming team was in action Sunday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center for the final day of the Auburn Invitational. The Gators won every individual event on the docket.
Celi Guzman started the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 Back with a personal-best time of 1:57.73. Madison Conway placed fifth. With a mark of 2:10.29, Yekaterina Aslanidi achieved a new season-best swim and placed ninth.
With a personal-best swim of 49.57, Kelsey Dambacher won the 100 Free final. Gabby Hillis finished in fourth with a mark of 50.53. Kirschtine Balbuena placed fifth with a time of 50.58, after she recorded a personal-best 50.44 in the prelims. After she posted a season-best 51.48 in the prelims, Bettina Boszormenyi placed 12th with a time of 51.62. Kalie Novosedliak notched a career-best mark of 52.71 in the prelims and followed the prelim performance with a 19th-place finish with a swim of 52.81 in the finals.
Adrianna DeBoer kept the winning and personal-best streaks going in the 200 Breast where she clocked a career-best 2:14.52 and won. Ellie Hatton followed her personal-best performance in the prelims with another career-best time of 2:18.05 and placed seventh. Ellie Zweifel improved on her personal best from prelims with a career effort of 2:18.26 and placed 10th in the final. Jessica Rodriguez finished in 13th place. Rodriguez swam a season-best mark of 2:19.05 in the prelims.
Jillian Hatch closed the individual competition with a victory in the 200 Fly with a personal-best time of 1:59.76, which she improved on from her prelim swim of 2:00.78.
The Gators have a week off before the SEC Championships begin on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Athens, Georgia.
