Gators Release Depth Chart for UMass Game

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators released their depth chart on Monday for the season opener Saturday against UMass.
Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio is making his first career start for the Gators. Del Rio earned the starting nod over fifth-year graduate transfer Austin Abbley in camp. Both quarterbacks are expected to play on Saturday.
The three receivers atop the depth chart are Antonio Callaway, Dre Massey and Brandon Powell. The trio of Jordan Scarlett, Mark Thompson and Jordan Cronkrite share top billing at tailback.
Meanwhile, DeAndre Goolsby and Moral Stephens will take most of the snaps at tight end with teammate C'yontai Lewis suspended for an altercation with cornerback Teez Tabor during camp.
With Tabor unavailable for the first game, Duke Dawson is atop the depth chart at the cornerback spot opposite starter Quincy Wilson. Dawson is also listed as the starter at nickel depending on what formation Florida's defense uses to start game.
Two true freshmen are on the two-deep depth chart at linebacker: Jeremiah Moon at strong-side linebacker and David Reese at middle linebacker.
