GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following a second-place showing at the SEC Championship in Birmingham, Ala., the University of Florida women's golf team heads to Baton Rouge as a No. 2 seed in NCAA Regional play. Having won four out of its past five tournaments, the Orange and Blue needs to finish in the top six to earn a spot at the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore., on May 20-25. Format: 54-hole stroke play, where all teams will play three rounds, 18 holes each day.

Thursday Round 1: (Central Time)
The Gators' Lineup:
Junior Maria Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico): Torres claimed the 2016 SEC Individual Title on April 17th at the SEC Women's Golf Championship. Her collegiate-best -9 (207) was the second-lowest tournament score in program history and equaled the SEC Championship record for the lowest 54-hole score.
Junior Kelly Grassel (Chesterton, Ind.): A junior transfer who will look to build on a strong showing at the SEC Championship, finishing tied for 11th place.
Freshman Sam Wagner (Windemere, Fla.): Wagner will make her NCAA post-season debut after a strong freshman season. She has competed in every tournament this season and finished tied for 16th at the SEC Championship.
Junior Karolina Vlckova (Unhošt, Czech Republic): Vlckova leads the Gators with six top-10 finishes this season, her most recent at the Clemson Invitational, where she placed fifth.
Sophomore Taylor Tomlinson (Gainesville, Fla.): Tomlinson is currently second on the team with eight top-25 finishes this season.
Head Coach Emily Glaser on opening NCAA play: "This is an exciting week, as it marks the beginning of our NCAA season. We have had really good preparations leading into Regionals, and I know the team is excited and ready. With this being a qualifier we want to make sure we play smart and stay patient. But there is no question our goal is to win, and take some momentum with us heading to Oregon."
