GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kyle Pitts' first TD of the year, rookie action and a pair of punter highlights Week 4 of the NFL season for former Gators.
Each week of the 2025-26 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.
Offense
Kyle Pitts – TE – Atlanta Falcons
Pitts had his best game of the season this weekend, tabbing five receptions for 70 yards and score No. 1 on the year. The former No. 4 overall pick is averaging 10.3 yards per reception this season and has been a chain-moving machine. Per TruMedia, 54% of his receptions have resulted in a first down or touchdown, which ranks 10th among pass catchers this season.

Demarcus Robinson – WR – San Francisco 49ers
There has been a lot of chatter this season about a certain former Gator WR who plays in San Francisco, but this week it is Demarcus Robinson's turn. Robinson signed with the 49ers in the offseason and made his return to the gridiron Sunday, where he made on leaping grab for 20 yards.

Defense
Alex Anzalone – LB – Detroit Lions
Anzalone was all over the field during Sunday's win over the Browns, totaling six tackles (four solo), a sack and a pass deflection. The veteran linebacker was a force in coverage, allowing just a 42.4 NFL passer rating across 38 coverage snaps per PFF.

Shemar James – LB – Dallas Cowboys
Breakout game for the rookie. James saw his first career action on defense Sunday night in prime time, taking over the Cowboys' middle linebacker role due to injuries. The 2025 fifth-round pick made the most of the opportunity, finishing the game with five tackles and a pressure, across 26 defensive snaps.
Special Teams
Tommy Townsend – P – Houston Texans
Townsend didn't see the field much during the Texans' division rivalry rout on Sunday, but he certainly made his presence known. The veteran punter totaled 132 yards across three punts with a towering 64-yard boot. He also dropped two inside the 20-yard line, including one downed at the Titans' 2-yard line.
Eddy Piñeiro – K – San Francisco 49ers
Piñeiro went 2/2 on field goals Sunday to remain perfect as a 49er. Piñeiro is tied for first among NFL kickers with a 100% make rate while having the third most attempts among that group.
