GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida announced today that Samantha Bohon will not return as head coach of the Gator soccer program. A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
"After reviewing the direction of our soccer program, we determined that a change in leadership is necessary," said Athletics Director Scott Stricklin. "We appreciate Sam's commitment and wish her and her family well. Our priority now is identifying the right person to guide Gator soccer back to championship form."
Bohon just completed her fourth season at Florida. She posted an 18-34-18 mark, including 5-23-12 mark in conference action. Bohon came to Florida after a 15 year stint at Embry Riddle and had spent four years as an assistant coach at Tennessee and two at Duke.
Florida will begin an immediate and comprehensive search for a new head coach to lead the program into the 2026 season.
