From the coaches – Head Coach Jeff Poppell
- "We were a little shaky today with a mix of good and bad."
- "The highlights were definitely Brooke Madden's seventh-place finish on 1-meter earning First-Team All-American honors, Vanessa Pearl's 15th-place finish in the 200 IM at her first NCAA Championships and our 400 Medley Relay finishing 13th overall."
- "Our (400 Medley) relay time in the morning was significantly faster than SECs and I believe the third-fastest all-time at UF."
- "We're looking forward to a strong day tomorrow."
- "I am very happy for Brooke today. This was one of the deepest fields I have seen at this meet. Every woman in the contest was capable of making the final."
- "It came down to mental toughness. That hasn't been Brooke's strength in the past, so to see her perform so well under pressure means that we have been doing things the right way. The talent has always been there. Now the mental game is starting to catch up. She definitely belongs up there with the very best. I'm very proud of her."
