AUBURN, Ala. – The University of Florida women's diving team returned to the boards for the first day of the NCAA Zone B Regional held at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center on Monday. Brooke Madden earned a spot into the NCAA Championships with her effort on the 3-meter.
Madden placed fourth overall with a combined prelim and final tally of 644.95 points. Madden earned a spot in the NCAA Championships for the third-straight season.
Madden recorded a score of 321.15 and finished the prelims in third place. Emma Whitner finished in 21st with a mark of 266.05. Teya Syskakis placed right behind her with 265.50 points in 22nd. Elizabeth Perez posted a score of 250.05 and placed 26th. Lauren Snider collected a 30th-place total of 237.95. With an effort of 228.75, Abigail Howell finished in 32nd place.
Day two of the zones begins at noon ET. Tuesday, March 12, with the 1-meter prelims. Howell, Madden, Perez, Syskakis, and Whitner will compete on the 1-meter.
