Gators Record Two Top-5 Performances on Day One at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – Elizabeth Perez and Emma Whitner led the Gators on the 3-meter of day one at the Auburn Diving Invitational. The University of Florida women's diving team was back in action at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center on Monday.

Perez tallied a score of 263.00 in the prelims, before she posted a mark of 308.35 in the finals. Her effort in the finals earned her a second-place finish.

After she collected 278.10 points in the prelims, Whitner notched a personal-best score of 299.60 in the finals. She placed fourth in the finals with her personal-best effort.

Lauren Snider placed eighth in the finals with a score of 257.55, after she improved on her prelim mark of 228.90.

Abigail Howell combined for 241.60 points in the prelims. In the finals, she posted a score of 255.35 and placed 10th in the finals.

Teya Syskakis collected an 11th-place finish in the finals with a mark of 252.45. Earlier in the day, she tallied 260.30 points in the prelims.

With a score of 210.60, Boni Trinter placed 12th in the finals. In the prelims, she compiled a mark of 201.40.
