Karolina Vlckova Still Fighting on Day Two of NCAA Championship

BRADENTON, Fla. – University of Florida sophomore women's golfer Karolina Vlckova was +8 through 16 holes Saturday before lightning suspended second-round play at the NCAA Championship.
For the second day in a row, half of the field was unable to complete the day's round due to lightning near The Concession Golf Club. The 12 teams and six individuals with holes remaining are scheduled to wrap up Round 2 beginning at 8:25 a.m. on Sunday prior to Round 3 action teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
Vlckova was tied for 77th among the 132-player field after the Round 1 results were finalized. She birdied two of the first three holes to open the second round and finished the day +8 with holes number 17 and 18 remaining. She's +15 for the tournament.
Duke and Stanford were tied for first with scores of 5-over 293 after Round 1, while Stanford's Mariah Stackhouse led the individual competition with a 4-under 68.
After Sunday's third round, the field will be cut to the top-15 teams and nine individuals on non-advancing teams for the final round of stroke play on Monday. Eight teams will then advance to match play.
