W. Swim & Dive Defeats Arkansas

The University of Florida women’s swimming and diving team won 11 of the 16 events in the dual meet versus Arkansas to cruise to a 164.5-121.5 win over the Lady Razorbacks.
The Gators swept five events (100- and 200-yard butterfly, 100- and 200- yard breaststroke, and 200-yard freestyle), the most sweeps in a meet this season.
Two Gators swam NCAA provisional qualifying times, bringing UF’s provisional qualifying times total to 19 this season.
Senior Sara McLarty (DeLand, Fla.) swam a career-best time of 2:02.80 in the 200-yard individual medley, which also was a provisional qualifying time. Redshirt junior Janelle Atkinson (Jamaica) swam a ‘B’ time in the 500-yard freestyle (4:49.14).
Florida has won 11 of the last 13 dual meets versus SEC teams and are 27-3 in the first SEC meet of the season.
Florida and Arkansas never met in a dual meet until Friday night.
