Florida swept the double point to open play. The Gators' Troy Hahn saw his first action in a doubles match during dual season and teamed with Matt Behrmann to post a quick 8-2 win at No. 3. In a matchup of ranked teams at No. 2, Florida's Olivier Levant and Eleazar Magallan lost a couple early leads before Brown tied the match at 6-6, breaking serve on a close line call. The Gator team broke right back though and won the match, 8-6, when Levant converted on a service winner. Doubles play wrapped up with the Gators taking a 9-7 decision at No. 1 for the clean sweep.
Florida took a quick 2-0 lead when Levant polished off his singles match in just 59 minutes. After Adil Shamasdin of Brown held serve to open the match, Levant won 12 straight games for a 6-1, 6-0 win. Behrmann put UF up 3-0 with a 7-6 (4), 6-3 win at No. 5 over Nicholas Goldberg. After winning the first set tiebreaker, Behrmann had his service broken and would fall down 0-2 before regaining the momentum, winning six of the final seven games.
Mirzadeh was the first of three UF wins in close succession, and thus gave the Gators their match-clinching fourth victory. Tied 2-2 in the second set, Mirzadeh wrestled away control of the match and completed his 7-5, 6-2 win on a service winner. Moments later, Magallan and Ross Greenstein wrapped up their wins to put the Gators up 6-0. Chris Drake capped the day's action by giving Brown its lone win of the day, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 over Troy Hahn at No. 3.
The Gators return to action on Friday when they travel to College Station, Texas to play No. 12 Texas A&M.
