Florida opened the season with a sixth-place finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Florida women's golf team opened their fall slate with a sixth-place finish at the inaugural Blessings Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Sophomore Marina Escobar Domingo sparkled for the Gators. After carding four birdies in the final round, the Almeria, Spain native finished even on the day and 1-over par overall to finish fourth on the leaderboard.
Freshman Maisie Filler kept a consistent pace through the final two rounds of competition and finished tied for 23rd place individually after carding an overall score of 9-over par 217.
Addie Baggarly finished tied for 28th after finishing the final round 6-over par.

"I can't describe how great it was to be competing again. We are sincerely grateful to be part of the SEC that worked hard to create this opportunity for us to compete in the safest environment possible. Thank you to Blessings Golf Club and Mr. Tyson for hosting us. The course was in fantastic shape. Getting a round under par at the Blessings is solid. Marina, Maisie and Addie doing so on this course tells you a bit about their game. At the end of the day though, we had too many unforced errors at a course where it's tough to get those back. Every shot needs your full attention. On a positive note, we have room for improvement and this team wants to compete. We have a tough group and look forward to getting back home and getting to work."
On Marina's fourth place finish…
"What a week for her! She was tough all week. Blessings challenged her and she did not let it get to her. She showed grit, composure and was focused from the first tee shot to the last putt of the day. She was on a mission since day one for the first event of the Fall for the Gators and it's a testament to her hard work. She has only scratched the surface of how good she can be and it's the very beginning. Very proud of her performance and resiliency this week."
