Florida's annual Orange & Blue Scrimmage will take place from 3-5 p.m. in the Lemerand Gym, with autographs to follow.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida volleyball faithful and the Gainesville community will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the 2016 Gator volleyball squad Saturday, August 20, at Volleyball Fan Day in the Lemerand Athletic Center from 3-5 p.m. Admission is free and doors open at 2:30 p.m., with the annual Orange and Blue intrasquad scrimmage slated for 3 p.m.
Parking for fans attending Gator Volleyball Fan Day is the Stephen C. O'Connell Center parking lot. Signage will direct fans to the Lemerand Athletic Center.
Autographs with both head coach Mary Wise and UF's players -- including nine newcomers -- will follow the scrimmage at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Prior to the start of Volleyball Fan Day, fans can enjoy Fan Fest at the entrance of the Lemerand Athletic Center, Florida's home for the 2016 season while the Stephen C. O'Connell Center continues a $64.5 million renovation. Florida Football Fan Day will take place from 2-4 p.m. in the Indoor Practice Facility, and Gator fans are encouraged to take the quick walk over to the Lemerand to partake in Volleyball Fan Day festivities as well.
The University Athletic Association will supply 2016 Gator volleyball team posters for coach and athlete autographs; the UAA cannot allow outside items to be brought in to the event due to NCAA compliance rules.
