Austin and Keegan Off to NY for Exciting Tennis Adventure

The Gator pair earned a wild card into the main draw of the U.S. Open
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Official practice for the University of Florida women's tennis team doesn't get underway until September 6, however, Florida's Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan are already set to play in the biggest tennis tournament held in the United States.
The Gator pair set off to New York on Thursday to participate in a number of amazing events, capped off by competing in the main draw of the 2016 U.S. Open Women's Doubles championship.
Austin, a junior, and Keegan, a senior, received a wild card into the main draw of the professional Grand Slam tournament after winning the 2016 NCAA Doubles Championship in May. The U.S. Open begins play on Mon., Aug. 29 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. The date and opponent of their first round match will be announced soon.
Before playing in the 2016 U.S. Open, Austin and Keegan will be taking part in the Oracle ITA Arthur Ashe/All-Star Outing held at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, N.Y. They also will be participating in Arthur Ashe Kids Day on Sat., Aug. 27.
