With a Fourth-Place Finish at The Alamo, Gator Women Conclude the Fall Season on a Positive Note

The No. 14 Florida Gators women's golf program completed their 2013 fall season with a notable fourth-place finish at The Alamo Invitational. Junior Sarah Schober shot 209 for the tournament, a career-best, placed third individually and made 15 birdies overall, just one behind the event leader.
Redshirt sophomore Katie Mitchell also leaves The Alamo with a career-best score, shooting under-par for the tournament (215) and finishing in the top-25 individually. Matching a collegiate-best 54-hole score, freshman Maria Torres finished just one-over par (217) at The Alamo.
Spring Ahead: Play continues in spring when Florida competes at the 2014 Florida Challenge in Lecanto, Fla., on Jan. 27. Last spring, Florida took home the team victory as junior Camilla Hedberg shared a tie for first place and senior Elcin Ulu shared a tie for third individually.
